Rhett O. Webber was elected VFW Department of Pacific Areas Commander for the 2007-08 Term.

He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1960 to 1990 achieving the rank of CMSgt. He was assigned to Phan Rang AB, RVN 1966-67. He also served in Belgium, Germany, Johnston Atoll and three times in the Republic of Korea. His decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Presidential Unit Citation, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Air Force Overseas Ribbons (Short & Long), Air Force Longevity Award, Air Force NCO Professional Military Education Graduate, Air Force Senior NCO Professional Military Education Graduate, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, Air Force Training Ribbon, Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citations, Vietnam Presidential Unit Citation and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.

He began supporting the VFW in 1991, when he joined the VFW Col. B.J. Smith Post in Poro Point, La Union, Philippines. He served as the VFW Post 9892 Commander in 1992-93 and multiple times since then. He received the Triple Crown Pins as a DPA District VII Post, District and Department All American Commander.

He received an Associate’s Degree from Okaloosa Walton College, Niceville, Florida 1969. He received his Bachelor’s Degree Cum Laude at Troy State University Alabama 1974.
Rhett is a life member and Commander of the Disabled American Veterans TBH Memorial Chapter 3, American Legion, Vietnam Veterans of America, AMVETS and Seam Squirrel of Pup Tent 7 KUTOS Military Order of the Cooties.

He resides in Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines with his wonderful wife Rosario and charming daughter Czabrienne.
